About Us
Seacrest Bed & Breakfast opened its doors over 17 years ago in the town of Kilronin, on Inis Mór, and is run by Geraldine Faherty and her husband Thomas.
After emigrating from Ireland and starting a family in the United States for a number of years, Thomas and Geraldine Faherty decided it was time to return home. Seacrest was opened shortly after moving back to the island - an island on which Thomas' family has lived for 7 generations.
While Geraldine has created a bed & breakfast that is a warm and inviting environment for guests, Thomas works days giving tours of the island. Tours are available 7 days a week, and Thomas is well known for his fascinating stories about the island and how it has changed over time.
Seacrest is very much a family run operation - you can usually see one of their three children helping with breakfast or running a pony & trap tour of their own - and this comfortable and welcoming feeling can be felt during the entirety of your stay at the bed & breakfast, or your carriage tour around the island.
"At Seacrest B&B on the Aran Islands, Geraldine makes it her business to ensure that our walkers are well looked after. A warm welcome, a good night’s sleep and an appetising breakfast are what you expect from a good B&B and you can be sure that you will get all this and more here."- Hillwalk Tours – Hiking the West of Ireland
"But is was the kindness of Geraldine - and Thomas with his horse, Johnny, who operate one of the wagon tours - who made my stay memorable. Lovely people on a fascinating island. I hope to be back."- Guest from Gagetown, NB, Canada
"We stayed here (hen party) over the Bank Holiday weekend, the rooms were spotless clean, breakfast was lovely and Geraldine could not do enough for us, even driving us to the restaurant on Saturday night because it was raining."- Guest from Carlingford, Ireland
